3 Books I loved reading this year

Rahul Basak with Books

Like millions of other people in this world, I do also faced loneliness in this very difficult year. If I look into my life so far, I have always faced loneliness with different kinds of arts. Sometimes it is music, photography but the one which always remains close with me that is reading books.

This year 2021 was a mix for me, I read fiction, business, and also mythological-based books. So in this article, I am going to share my favorite one from all of those three sections.

Fiction:

Probably this is a segment that gives me the happiness of childhood memory and also a beautiful touch of romance. This is the section where we fly with the dragon while remaining under a blanket. Since childhood like most people, it remains my favorite place of comfort.

This is the section where we fly with the dragon while remaining under a blanket.

And guess what, the book that I am going to talk about now, is like a beautiful mixture of mystery and fiction, amazing right? It is written by the famous Japanese writer, Haruki Murakami. It was my first encounter with his works "Sputnik Sweetheart" is the name of the book. I think this a book which can make you feel how amazing and mysterious the world is around us, and most importantly after finishing the book, you will feel like, god, I need to read the last pages again and you will feel like, "What in the earth just happen?". I know you are already feeling curious right? But, I have not said the best part yet, it is one of the books where you will experience the world of love, not just any kind of romantic one only, but add a word "mysterious" in front of romantic. So, what are you waiting for? Go, grab a copy now!!

“The answer is dreams. Dreaming on and on. Entering the world of dreams and never coming out. Living in dreams for the rest of time.” Haruki Murakami, Sputnik Sweetheart

Business/Biography:

As an entrepreneur by myself, I think this section of the book is like a temple and a school at the same time. Whenever I feel low about my journey in the business world this is the place from where I learn, and even I believe the people who are not directly related to business can also find this bookshelf a place for motivation and who knows, you might end up with some idea that can change a lot of people living around you.

I just need one single line to make you understand about which book I am going to talk about, that is: the biggest ever online commercials place in this world! Yes, I am talking about "Amazon". But this book was so smoothly written that you will feel like that you are reading the life of Jeff Bezos, this amazing book is written by Brad Stone one of the popular American journalists. You need to grab the book as soon as possible, and I know a lot of Entrepreneurs are reading this article, don't miss this gem guys. Yes yes yes, the name of the book is. "The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon".

“It’s easier to invent the future than to predict it.” - Brad Stone

Mythological Book:

I was very fortunate to have a very interesting person as a teacher in my early high school days. He was like a noble itself. He taught me and encouraged me to write poetry and read the book, and he loved mythological books and I learned the beauty of this mystery.

The book is written by the famous Indian author Devdutt Pattanaik. I have always loved his works, but recently this book that I found on my kindle, is extraordinary. The name of the book is called, "Adi Purana: Entire Veda as a Single Story" as per my Knowledge this book is only available on kindle. The best part of this book is it can give us all a very easy understanding of Vedas and Purana and also provide us a deep understanding of Hindu mythology identities.

If Veda is the cow that feeds on the grass of wisdom, then Adi Purana is her milk that will nourish humans. - Devdutt Pattanaik
